L'amour
Oh February: The month of love, where we need a day to show our love to the one we cherish. Every month should be lovely and romantic...every day should be.
People have always told me that marraige is totally different from engagement, and very different from dating. I never understood how though, even for people who live in common-law households, as soon as they get married the problems arise. One of my mothers collegues was with this guy for 13 years...13 years! living together, even had children...but they got married and lasted 6 months :S
Now I'm only beginning to understand. Marraige truly is something that one has to be ready to sacrifice and compromise when needed, look beyond our own wants and needs and consider someone that you love. And that person has to try to be the same way.
I don't know if I explained that right, forgive me, but I am only in my first year! Any hints married ladies out there?
This is a great little website that my friend sent me recently, with the sweetest note " Because you are the happiest wife I know!", warms your heart eh?
http://www.happywivesclub.com/
A lot of the articles contain advice that I got from my amazing grandmother on marriage...she's still got my grandfather head over heels in love with her after 50 years!
This month I will:
Choose Happiness <3
Protect his heart and his ego (all in HWC website above...read the articles!)

Hawaiian Interlude

The New Year of 2010 began on a beautiful Hawaiian beach for me and my husband on my surprise honeymoonish trip (why can’t every trip be a honeymoon?)
During that trip, I reflected on my life and realized that I had never really done anything I wanted to do! How’s that for self reflection...in a tropical paradise no less..way to kill my buzz!
So that’s when I had my first 'A HA!' moment. I'll write a blog about my 365 days of 2010 and how I'll Make Over my life.
Now what does a Life Make Over entail? It is a total Lifestyle overhaul, a Revolution, out with the old in with the new.
Old is:
Bad decision
Hidden resentments
Horrible eating habits
Muffin top
Fake smiles
Being Lazy
Dead End jobs
A long a** To-Do List
Fads
New is:
Become someone that I am happy with. Not my Mom. Not my husband. Not my friend. ME.
And I will be true to myself, recognize my virtues and work hard to change my vices in the most positive and truest possible way!
What are some things you would like to work on this year?

To be or not to be...
We all wait for that day that things are going to change, for things to finally go our way.
Whether or not you admit it to yourself, Carpe Diem is a hard slogan to live by.
Although we try very very hard, things always get put off...gathering dust in our minds as the weeks, then months, and then years pass by.
I love politics, fashion, interior design, and literature...although I can't seem to get the courage to put myself out there to make it into something more.
I've had many missed and wasted opportunities, which I am now realizing, are going to be few and far between as my life wears on.
I am blessed, I don't know what I did right in what past life, to deserve a loving husband and amazing extended family...however I, like many other people, am plagued with a case of the almmoooooost!
almost, almost, almost.
I have everything going for me but my laziness, fears and psychological 'responsibilities' and 'stresses' have put me in stagnant stage in life...I will admit it to you dear reader, that I recognize that the only person holding me back is myself.
So, let me state outright that this blog is a journal of my thoughts, loves and fears that I will share with you so that we may learn together and draw strength from one another in order to realize our goals from this moment.
I will no longer sit idly by, trapped by my fear (or laziness). I will get to that point of psychological, emotional, spiritual, financial and physical satisfaction...that Yes! Yes! moment.
Join me in this journey and help me up along the way and, if I live up to it, use it as an inspiration for your Life Makeover.
